Mr. John Panagos
John Panagos is the Founder and Director of the National Center for Elementary Astronomy Studies of the Oakland Unified School District and Burckhalter School.
He began teaching elementary level students at Lakeview School in Oakland in 1991, where his astronomy program work began.
He enjoys the broad, multiple subject learning environment of elementary education and the natural curiosity of younger students. He also enjoys studying and practicing observational astronomy and the related space sciences. John is a member of the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Ambassadors Program.
