Evidence-Based Goals
-
In the spring of 2013, ELLMA commissioned a review of OUSD's English Language Learner services by Stanford University’s Understanding Language. Stanford review findings are the evidence base for our strategic plans to accelerate academic outcomes for our ELLs: the ELL Master Plan and Roadmap to ELL Achievement.
ELL Master Plan
-
The ELL Master Plan outlines our legal obligations for ELLS and also lays out a new vision of instructional programs for ELLs. It goes beyond requirements to provide a framework of powerful practices for ELL instruction and services.
Roadmap to ELL Achievement
-
The Roadmap to English Language Learner Achievement 2018-2021 is a holistic look at the progress we have made for ELLs and direction we are heading in. This report on our progress in four priority areas looks back to the time the ELLMA office began in 2015, and sets targets for where we want to be in 2021.
