UC Berkeley Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
EAOP is committed to closing the opportunity gap and increasing access to higher education for underserved students, families and communities. Our staff provides academic advising and course planning; college and financial aid information; scholarship application assistance; SAT Reasoning Test preparation; and academic enrichment opportunities for students and their families.
UC Berkeley Pre-College TRIO Program
The Pre-College TRIO Program of the University of California, Berkeley is conceived of intensive motivational counseling and tutoring aimed to support high school students who attend schools in the OUSD and WCC school districts. TRIO is a federally funded academic program highly recognized throughout the country.
Seventy-five percent of the students supported by the TRIO program must be low-income, first generation scholars. The student must also be a US Citizen or permanent resident. Twenty-five percent of the students served can come from any type of background. Although this is our target population, while working at Skyline High School, TRIO services are available to any student hoping for support.
Our program offers college tours, college exam courses, fee waivers for the SAT and ACT, one-on-one counseling and college support. Please consider us a resource for all your questions about attending college.
The College and Career Advisors are located in the Library. Hours vary by counselor. Students are welcome to drop in or schedule an appointment with anyone of our advisors. For general college and career related questions, please contact Alcian Lindo, Skyline's College and Career Specialist.
