Overview
Our Program: The Track and Field Program at Skyline is open to all students athletes regardless of previous participation in these sports. Student-athletes are expected to present at practices EVERYDAY. Practices during the school year, practice is after school from 3:30-6:00 PM (on minimum days, 30 minutes after the last bell rings. Times can vary depending on the plan/workout for that day. Practices begin at the bottom of the bleachers with a brief team meeting. Please DO NOT BE TARDY!
Remember, regardless of the sport whether it be football, basketball, baseball, etc, standards and expectations are the same. Once you join our team, there is a structure to our program (much like that of a teacher teaching a class) and you are expected to make a commitment towards the program, the practices and the workouts.
Our League: Skyline is part of the OAL Warriors region. Student-athletes will be given a race schedule at the beginning of the season. The schedule will include the dates and times of each race/meet for the ENTIRE SEASON. Student-athletes are expected to attend EVERY meet listed on the schedule unless they have informed the coaches otherwise. Parents should take a look at the schedule to make sure there are no scheduling conflicts. If there is a scheduling conflict, notify one of the coaches immediately and adjustments can be made.
