Lily Jefferies graduated from Vassar College with a degree in chemistry. After teaching at a private school for three years, she went back to Mills College to get her teaching credential and is working towards her masters.

After student teaching with Ms. Sawczuk for a year, Ms.Jefferies was delighted to be offered a full time position as a science teacher. She loves the community, and appreciates the support she receives from her colleagues and the enthusiasm of her students. This year she will be teaching AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. These are challenging courses, but she hopes to make them relevant to her students as they consider what they want to do when they leave high school.
