Read, Create, Explore - 2016 Summer Reading Challenge
June is coming soon and I hope you will join us for a summer of fun at the library! From June 11 until August 6 children and families can “Read, Create, Explore” during the Oakland Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. Children can win prizes by signing up online or at the library and reading for 20 minutes or more on 10 days. Children who aren’t yet reading can participate when adults and older children read with them. Children who read for 20 minutes or more on 20 days will win a new book and a badge, and will also be entered into a raffle for even more prizes, including an iPad and a one-year membership to Fairyland.
The Children’s Room will be celebrating the Summer Reading Challenge with many free programs.
