AIM HIGHAim High is hiring for Summer 2019, and I encourage you to apply. It’s a great opportunity to hone your skills and a meaningful way to spend your summer. As an Aim High teacher, you’ll receive tons of resources and support, like project-based curriculum, classroom supplies, and guidance from academic coaches.
Aim High operates campuses in Oakland, Richmond, San Francisco, Marin County, Tahoe/Truckee, and on the Peninsula. Teaching at Aim High is a six-week commitment between June and July (One week of prep and team-building, plus five weeks working with students). Camp Phoenix is a three-week residential (overnight) summer camp that serves approximately 80 kids each summer. We are a non-profit program that empowers low-income middle school students to overcome the summer learning gap through an outdoor, three-week experience. We want every camper who comes to Camp Phoenix to return to school in the fall a more advanced reader and mathematician, more confident in themselves, and more energized to learn.

Bunk Counselor- be a mentor and role model for kids as the primary day to day supervisor and fun-facilitator for campers.
Achievement Director- do you have experience coaching teachers? Drive the strategy for academic achievement at camp and manage a team of 6 Instructors
Head Chef/Kitchen Coordinator or Kitchen Assistant - the food at camp is one of the memories campers rave most about! Learn about kitchen management, safety, nutrition and cooking for over 100 people daily.
Health Care Professional - provides critical care for our campers and staff during these 3 weeks. As a member of the Leadership Team, this staff member provides invaluable insight into preventing sickness and injury, and ensures we are the safest place possible to grow and discover.
Lifeguard- provides a truly unique opportunity for our low-income youth who do not have easy access to swimming facilities. You’ll make sure our campers are safe and having fun during pool time.
