    Oakland Fine Arts Summer School (OFASS)

    The Oakland Fine Arts Summer School (OFASS) has been in existence since 1995. This summer program is a partnership between the city of Oakland and OUSD. The program brings together district music and art certificated teachers with community based artists to offer an intensive 4 week summer arts experience. Students build sets, create costumes, and play instruments all towards the end of summer cumulative performance that incorporates music, dance, fashion, and theatre.     Oakland Freedom Schools 

    Oakland Freedom Schools (OFS) is a six-week summer literacy program that uses culturally relevant literature and curriculum to engage young people, primarily African American youth, in developing positive self and community identity. With a 10:1 classroom ratio, the program provides breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks, bi-weekly field trips, special Friday events and 150 minutes of academic literacy instruction daily.

    Program will run from June 10-July 19th, 2019 Levels 1-3 8:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday Level 4 8:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday.
