Ana Vasquez, Assistant Principal
Now in her 14th year in the OUSD, Ms. Vasquez started her career as a school counselor and transitioned to becoming an Assistant Principal four years ago. New to Oakland High this year, Ms. Vasquez is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is working closely with OHigh's Newcomer program as both Counselor and AP. She values authentic and respectful relationships with students, parent/guardians and teachers alike.
Ms. Vasquez got her degree from the University of California, Berkley with a major in African American Studies and a minor in Spanish. She went on to get both her Master's in Counseling and her Administrative Credential from Cal State East Bay.
