2015 Honoring Our Own Ceremony
It is the distinct pleasure of Oakland Unified School District to announce the names of those outstanding individuals who will be honored at our upcoming May 19, 2015 "Honoring Our Own" Employee Recognition Ceremony from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland. This annual OUSD event is a celebration of individuals nominated for recognition by their peers and community for outstanding contributions to our mission of supporting our children in thriving and succeeding.
We received almost 180 nominations, from District employees, parents and others, each telling us about an OUSD employee who produces results, inspires others, stands as a model for the Oakland community and works in service of Oakland's children.
As always, our field of nominees was a wonderful confirmation of the quality of employee we have in OUSD, and as always the selection process from such a fine field was very difficult. Rigorous vetting has now yielded the list of individuals who will be recognized next month.
