The PLC Manual was developed to provide resources across a wide range of activities. It is organized around the four key questions:
What do we want all students to learn?
How will we know when each student has mastered the essential learning?
How will we respond when a student experiences difficulty in learning?
How will we deepen the learning for students who have already mastered the essential learning?
In addition, it includes chapters on the definition of a PLC, support structures, management and accountability, and the use of data. The
manual is not intended to be a definitive, all-inclusive how-to guide,
yet it provides substantial information for schools as they grow into
PLCs. The PLC manual represents the collective efforts
of a wide range of OUSD personnel—thank you to those who contributed to
this project. PLC Manual: Word PLC Manual: PDF
