To apply for a school for August 2022, visit ousdapply.schoolmint.net. To explore school options, visit www.chooseousd.org.

School started on August 9, 2021. If you would like to enroll for the current school year, the Student Welcome Center can help. You can email us (enroll@ousd.org) or call/text us (510-879-4600). We are also open to in-person visits (746 Grand Avenue, Oakland, CA). You can make an appointment online here. 

Enrollment Timeline for August 2022

Step 1: Explore 

Visit http://chooseousd.org to find your neighborhood school and explore other schools by location, school name, or by programs that are important to your family. The school search tool is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic. The application will open at ousdapply.schoolmint.net on November 15, 2021 and close February 18, 2022.

Step 2: Apply 

Once you've decided which schools would be a good fit for your student, you can apply online at ousdapply.schoolmint.net beginning November 15!

If you prefer not to apply online, you can reach out to our enrollment specialists at the Student Welcome Center for support (email enroll@ousd.org or text/call 510-879-4600). Or, you can make an appointment here (ousd.org/enrollappt) to visit the Student Welcome Center in-person.

Step 3: Confirm/Decline Offers

School offers will be released on ousd.schoolmint.org on March 10, 2022. Let us know that you'll be joining (or staying with!) OUSD by logging into ousdapply.schoolmint.net to Accept your offer! 

Step 4: Back-to-School Forms

In July/August 2022, update us with your current contact information for the new school year. This step will be completed in your OUSD parent portal at parent.ousd.org.
