Preparing Oakland's Students for College, Career, Community Success

  • Careers Expo

Oakland Unified School District and professional partners are excited to announce this unique opportunity for high school students to get a head start on career preparation and connect with employers in the Bay Area.

More than 80 representatives from local businesses will exhibit and engage students at the day-long Expo by providing information on the 21st Century Skills and education needed to take advantage of opportunities in their industry.

Students will have the opportunity to APPLY for summer courses at the Peralta colleges and interview for REAL jobs and internships. OUSD’s Office of Linked Learning will coordinate mock interviews prior to the expo as well as transportation on that day. Students are expected to bring their resumé as well as a permission slips signed by a parent or guardian. In addition to permission slips, detailed information will be sent out in March.
