OUSD has an independent study program at:

2. Alternative High Schools: Alternative Schools of Choice are voluntary programs that offer unique educational programs to meet students' individual needs. Alternative Schools allow skilled educators and engaged students to explore new methods of teaching and new ways of learning in a changing society. OUSD has an Alternative High School program at:

  • Street Academy (Grades 9-12)

3. Continuation Education: Continuation Education programs are designed to meet the needs of students who are at least seventeen (17) years of age who are at risk of not graduating - those having completed no more than 50 high school credits. Continuation Schools provide an opportunity for students to earn a high school diploma and/or prepare for advancement to community college and career options. OUSD has Continuation Education programs at:

  • Rudsdale High School (Grades 9-12)
