    Partnership Process Overview

    Partnership Process FAQs:

    1. Who is subject to the Annual Partnership Process?

All Current Partners of OUSD are subject to the Partnership Process.

A Current Partner is an outside organization or individual entering OUSD schools to provide services during the current school year and/or summer.

Afterschool Subcontractors entering OUSD schools are subject to the Partnership Process.

Volunteers that are not working on behalf of an outside organization are not subject to the Partnership Process.  They should register as volunteers with the Ed Fund.

Partners that enter OUSD schools one-time only during the current school year and/or summer are not subject to the Partnership Process.

    2. What happens after I complete the Partnership Process?

Upon completion, you are cleared to run your program and will be added to our list of Approved Partners.

    Annual Partnership Process Requirements:

Once the school and partner agree to commence programs and services, the partner needs to be approved at the district level.  School adminstrators (Principals, APs, Community School Managers etc.) should email Martin.Young@ousd.org (Cc: partner contact) to confirm the partnership agreement.  The email introduction should include the partner org name and contact information, and the partner will be placed on Pending Approval list.  Schools should monitor the Pending Approval list for the status of the partner's deliverables.

To become an Approved Partner, you must perform two actions:

    A. Verify or Create your formal agreement* with OUSD to complete TB, fingerprinting, and insurance requirements.

    B. Update or Register in Partnership Database.

*Formal agreements are MOUs or Professional Services Contracts (PSCs), which are submitted to the Board of Education.

Instructions on how to begin the process follow below.

A: Verify or Create Formal Agreement

I DON'T KNOW if I have a valid formal agreement with OUSD:

    1. Visit Legistar. Enter organization's name (case sensitive) in search field and search for prior agreements by "Agreement or Contract" or "All Types". If none exist, you do not have a current formal agreement with OUSD.

    2. Review dates. Determine whether or not agreement covers the current school year. If not, you do not have a current formal agreement with OUSD.

    3. If unsure about your status, email Martin.Young@ousd.org, to discuss your contract status.

    4. Afterschool subcontractors of the Afterschool Lead Agency are covered by the Lead Agency contract.  Subcontractors can verify their formal agreement by presenting a copy of their contract with the Lead Agency.
