     Happy New Year! Welcome Back!
     **Families, please note that there is no school for students on Friday, January 29th. All teachers will be participating in Professional Development. School will return to session on Monday, February 1st.**
    **Familias, por favor tomen en cuenta que no hay clases para los estudiantes el viernes 29 de enero. Todos los maestros estarán participando en talleres de Desarrollo Profesional. Los estudiantes regresarán a clase el lunes 1ro de febrero.**
    • 6th & 7th Grade Families:
      • Come to the Division 1 Advisory Dinner - Thursday, January 28th from 5 - 7 PM.
      • This year’s theme will be Summer Program Enrollment, and representatives from various summer programs will be present.
      • All Division 1 Families are expected to attend!
      • It’s a potluck. Please bring food or drink to share.
      • Any Advisory that has more than 10 students and families attend will get a popsicle party!

    8th Grade Families: There will be a family information meeting about College Track on Wednesday, January 27th at 5 PM in the FRC. College Track is an after school program that helps students prepare for and succeed in college and provides financial support for students while in college. Nominated 8th graders will receive an invitation from their Advisory Teacher on Monday.

About CCPA 
Coliseum College Prep Academy (CCPA) is a small high school on the Havenscourt campus in East Oakland and the first Oakland school serving grades 6 through 12. The stability of our program allows us to build powerful relationships with students and families to support a positive school culture and high student achievement. At CCPA, all students develop as learners, thinkers, communicators, and citizens. Our school program meets each learner’ s unique needs, value their passions and interests, connect their learning to the real world, and require students to demonstrate what they know and are able to do. Through partnerships with multiple community groups, we provide supports to help all students achieve high standards. Technology is integrated throughout our program to ensure students are ready to compete in our digital world.
